Credit Control Advisor

We are offering an opportunity to join our dynamic Credit Control team in our offices in Ayr.

The Credit Control Advisor plays an important role in our collection operations, with the primary objective being to optimise the collection of overdue accounts and unpaid invoices, whilst adhering to the Collections and Escalation process.

It falls within the remit of the Credit Control Advisor to maintain meticulous records of all Collection activity and Customer interactions, promptly addressing any enquiries or disputes raised by customers.

The position is ideally suited for individuals who are confident, possess strong communication skills and can effectively manage their own workload.

  • Reach out to customers via phone and email to follow-up on outstanding payments.
  • Professionally and empathetically engage with customers to identify the reasons for delayed payments.
  • Escalate problematic accounts in accordance with our Collections process.
  • Handle customer objections confidently while maintaining a positive and understanding attitude.
  • Accurately record all customer interactions in our CRM system.
  • Strive to meet and exceed personal and team collection targets.
  • No previous experience is required, but a history in customer service, collections, or similar roles would be of benefit.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and MS Office software.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when managing challenging situations.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
