Castle Water is committed to driving energy and water efficiencies
3rd September 2021, United Kingdom – Castle Water, the UK’s leading independent business water retailer, further commit to tackling climate change through the installation of electric vehicle charging points at their Head Office carpark in Blairgowrie, Scotland.
To deliver the project Castle Water worked with local contractors Balmoral Garage and Vortex Electrical to connect 3 Project EV 7kW electric vehicle charging points. Not only will the new technology benefit the environment, but it will also support employee wellbeing.
Employees with company vehicles will have the opportunity to opt for hybrid or fully electric cars. The project has already shown great success, with a subsequent fourth charging station planned to be installed next month.
Castle Water understands the importance of corporate environmental responsibility and recently announced operations to carbon balance printing, helping to reduce the business’s carbon footprint. Working with the World Land Trust (WLT), a conservation charity, Castle Water is on track to offset over 18,000kg of carbon emissions by the end of 2021; consequently preserving 12,000 square meters of Vietnamese forestry.
The water firm supports its customers to reduce the impact their businesses have on the environment, and reduce costs, by offering free, practical advice on how to use less water.
Castle Water recently launched new features to their online customer portal, which has everything Castle Water customers need to securely manage and stay in control of their accounts online. This personalised customer experience, with helpful advice and support, provides additional online tools to locate meters and submit readings, monitor and reduce business water consumption, and ultimately lower bills.
